Their first products were straight-stitch CB machines type ?7?, later in 1936 the improved type CB77 equipped with joint mechanism. One of the most modern and productive sewing machines at that time. And so LADA trademark became well known between another famous world known names and then they made a business connection in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Near East. An important part of their production line were the machines for sewing industry, such as the type 11, later 35, 105 and 135. But the very successful development of the company was affected in the time of World War II. The production had to be limited and finally in 1943 discontinued. After the war finished , LADA company decided to continue in their traditions by producing of the well established type 77. After the year 1948 became a greatest expansion of the productivity in LADA´s history. The number of employees was increased to something between 1400 to 1600 persons. Because of the requirements of the market, LADA had to develop a lot of new types of sewing machines. In the year 1954 they started to produce the first sewing machine equipped with zig-zag stitch in Czechoslovakia, type 233.
In the sixties the production of sewing machines reached the number of 100 000 pieces year. But then, being included into management unit ELITEX in the year 1965, LADA ost its independence and finally, based on the decision of the goverment in 1972 was the roduction discontinued again. s lately as the communism regime fell down could LADA renew its good tradition in the field of producing sewing machines |

Soon after breakdown of Austria-Hungary monarchy an idea of founding a factory producing sewing machines appeared. Many of czech workers who were living and working in Vienna before World War I. wanted to return home when the war was over and they were looking for new jobs in their own country. It took a lot of time but on 1st September 1919 a Stock company producing sewing machines in Soběslav was found. At the beginning of their functioning on the market it wasn´t easy at all for such an still unknown trademark to compete with well known European and Overseas competitors. The market was controlled by the famous companies and it cost so much effort for LADA to be successful.
